Classic Car Boot Sale London

It's been awhile since I've attended a vintage fair - far too long in my books. I've been pretty unlucky that I've missed the last couple of Classic Car Boot sales in London due to other plans so I'd been waiting for months for last weekends event to come around.

After assuring Topher that it isn't really a car boot sale (there probably wouldn't be a fantasy book in sight), he reluctantly agreed to go with me. Mainly on the promise of good food!

Our bellies grumbling we headed to the food trucks. It was a difficult decision but we decided on Taco Truck which definitely didn't leave us disappointed.

My week: 32

I am shattered! 3 fairs this week, a hen/stag party and for the first time in 3 years I have a cold. All fun and games.

My week: 31

I can't believe it's only December now. It feels like Christmas has been going on for ages. I blame my facebook feed for bragging about finishing their shopping weeks ago. Personally, now that it's December it's officially Christmas season. Let the fun begin!

*Experimenting with my new laminator!
*I love this laminator far too much.
*Getting caught up on tv (Choccywoccydooda - yes this cake is made of chocolate)
*A clockwork orange - one of the bf's films
*Laminated necklace
*Mince pie - my first of the actual xmas season
*Chocolate orange cupcake
*Did a craft/gift fair in Wigan today

So if you follow me on twitter then you may know about the challenge that me and the bf decided to where we basically watch each other's films. He's a horror film fanatic and I'm a scaredy cat who like's Fred Astaire films....this should be interesting. We're watching them in alphabetical order and are still on the A's at the moment. This week I watched all 4 Alien films. I liked the second one best and was not a fan of the fourth one at all. I got him back with my Audrey Hepburn films though. Ha ha. We were thinking since it's quite a funny challenge, we might record the experience on a blog. What do you think?

Saturday Selling

Today I had a fair in Chorlton. Nice and local. We'll ignore the rain.

It was a bit of a slow day but I managed to go away with profit :)

The weird thing all us sellers were all noticing is that no one is mentioning Christmas. Maybe it's too early? Fingers crossed my fairs next week will be filled with more present shopping buyers. They will be in December (just) after all.

My fortnight: 23 & 24

Since I was feeling a tad under the weather last week, I decided to make this post a fortnight in photos.

Screen Shot 2012-10-01 at 19.54.06
*Macaroons! I have a new addiction.
*I love the wedge on this shoe - it's literally lots of little toys.
*Pink Polar Bear and Le Fizz cocktails at Kro Bar for a friend's birthday. Take my advice and stay away from Le Fizz. Tiny for the price and all you can taste is lime!
* Decorative fair
*New boots, new dress - a good day
*Olympics mascots chocolate - yummy :)
*My first football match!

Looking back over these photos, the first ones feel like ages ago! I had to get some macaroons when me and the bf went to Yo Sushi in Selfridges. Just a little treat to celebrate both us being paid. Another highlight was the decorative fair in Fallowfield on the 23rd. I had a great time and made a handsome profit (yes I did just say handsome profit).

And finally, I managed to fully tick one of my 25 things to do before I'm 25. Go to a football match.I went to see Stalybridge vs Chester on Saturday with the bf and his step-dad, step brother and grandad. I had a great time. Even if you're not into football, you've got to admit it is quite fun hurling abuse at men running around in shorts!

We all also went for a Sunday roast at a country pub which was quite tasty. Though I have to say it wasn't as good as me and the bf's roast we did a couple of weeks ago :)

After a stressful couple of weeks of work I'm happy to say that I received my visa today to go to India. My parents pick me up on Friday. I can't wait! The adventure begins.

Decorative Fair

Well this fair certainly didn't disappoint. Though I had no helpers with me, i had two hours to set up and within 30 seconds of rolling my rail into the hall another trader stopped me and bought my grandmother's fur stole from me.It was a great start and even better, she bought it for herself so I know it's gone to a good home.

I didn't bring my nice camera with me but managed to snap a few photos on my phone.

The only downside was that since I was on my own, I didn't get to wander around and look at other stalls. But I guess that's a good thing as I didn't eat into my profit by buying stuff! Which I totally would have done.

Bring on the holiday season!
