For our date night, Topher took me to The Stockyard in Hale, an American bar/restaurant. Topher had gone earlier in the week for a drink with a friend and came home raving about the chicken wings.
So by Topher's request, we got the smoky bourbon chicken wings to share for a starter.
I have to admit that I'm not much of a chicken wing fan but these were amazing! The sauce was incredible and I could have had a whole bucket to myself.
For the main course, I went with the Sea Dog which was a lobster roll accompanied by sweet potato fries. There were big chunks of lobster and I really enjoyed the sauce too. Yum!
Topher had the pulled pork burger with fries. What he didn't realise was that every burger comes with 2 burger patties - including the pulled pork burger. Though delicious - he said it defeated him which is definitely an achievement when it comes to his appetite.
As always, I have to take a peek at the dessert menu no matter how full I am. And surprise surprise I found something I liked. Since we went straight after I finished work, it was about 7.30pm by this point so we decided to get some dessert to take away and have later. The winner was the cookie pizza topped with marshmallows, m&ms, ice cream, chocolate & caramel sauce and nuts.
As we left we had to fight our way to the door due to the huge crowd at the bar. So if you're going to for dinner, go early! We had a great evening and will definitely return as there's other things we want to try on the menu!

Those chicken wings look amazing! As does the cookie... My ideal date night would also involve a LOT of food (and maybe some cocktails...)
