The Lush Winter Skincare Workshop with Pinned it! Made it!

Another month, another Pinned it, made it event. I was really excited to find out that this month Lush would be coming to show us how to make face masks! I've never actually tried any of their face masks so this was a definite must.

It was a really fun evening and I feel like I've come away better educated on how Lush's products are made. Every ingredient has a back story with an interesting tale of where it came from. It's good to know what you're putting on your face and body. Natural is definitely the way to go.

After all the introductions, we were split into 2 groups and sent to make one of two face masks. My group was to make Cupcake first which smells delicious.

It was a group effort with us literally passing the bowl around about 15 of us and each adding a bit of the ingredients.

Voila!

Next it was on to make the Catastophe Cosmetic face mask which features blueberries as one of it's main ingredients (yum).

Then the lovely Lush ladies showed us how to use the Full of Grace serum bar along with one of the face masks.

Goody bag!

Inside the goody bag we got:
Valentines Day Love Locket bath bomb (this broke in my bag on the way home but no matter!)

We also got to take home a pot of each face mask we had made to try at home as well as a little book with more back stories behind the Lush products. That had me sorted with reading material on the tube home!

I couldn't wait to try the Love Locket bath bomb. Last night I popped it in my bath and it turned the water pretty and pink.

This looks like a cat shadow but that's just my phone with it's little ears, ha ha!

I've also used the Prince Charming shower gel and it smells really sweet which is a winner with me. I can't wait to try out the face masks.

Thanks Pinned it made it and Lush!

What's your favourite Lush product?

  1. I love both of those face masks. I would love to nake something at lush. It's so hard to choose favourite lush products at the moment I'm obsessed with using 'let the good times roll' as a cleanser in the shower and 'dream cream' fixes my skin like nothing else but I could write a whole list if favourites. 2. I've never tried Lush products because I'm more of a shower girl than a bath girl, but now that I know they make shower gel I definitely need to give it a try!
